Denise Slabbert
Author, producer/director and scriptwriter, Denise Slabbert has been involved in the media for over fifteen years. She was the editor of Sawubona (SAA’s in-flight magazine) before going freelance and plunging headlong into the exciting world of television. She has produced a number of documentaries over the years as well as producing a local television series. Denise continues to write for local magazines, as well as copywriting for a number of corporate clients. She is the author of two books – Offbeat South Africa (Struik) and Boutique Life (self-published).

Ryan James
After graduating from Wits Hotel School Ryan headed off to work in London. He worked at Selfridges (in revenue management) and had a successful stint in consumer product brand assurance at Warner Brothers, London. He returned to South Africa and embarked on a restaurant career, owning and operating several successful restaurants in Johannesburg. Ryan has always had a flair for the creative and has recently joined Darling Lama Productions to produce documentaries, corporate and travel DVD’s as well as working on various publishing projects. Ryan also manages the photographic, research and design elements of various publications on behalf of the company.
